Staircases with glass balustrades

This LV Flooring collection brings together staircase details where glass panels keep the treads and landings in view. The photographs show several arrangements, including open-riser flights, enclosed risers and changes of direction at landings.

View the stairs as a complete connection

Glass makes it easier to see the relationship between the stair surface and the room around it. From the side, the tread edges become prominent; from above, the landing and turning points are easier to compare. These are different views of the design decision, rather than interchangeable details.

When planning flooring beside a staircase, include the bottom landing, the upper floor and the edge where the two meet. The photographs are visual references from the archive.
